Hey there!
How are things going for you and your sessions? It was a month of celebration at BootCraft in August as we celebrated publishing our 1000th drill! From very humble beginnings back in 2015 with only 33 drills, to over 1000 drills a few short years later, the workout database BootCraft has grown from strength to strength.
And here is a wrap-up of all the action from the past 31 days:
1. Previously on BootCraft…
The drills in August drills have been a collective effort from our team of Master Crafters – a group of trainers from all over the globe who submit a great variety of workouts each and every month. Can you guess how the drills would be from their names?

- Full Bodyweight Press
- AMRAP Add On Challenge
- Killer Kettlebell Circuit
- Fire Finisher
- Twister Tabata Warm Up
- Dice Workout
- It’s Simply Tough!
- Box It Out

2. September on BootCraft
I’d like to introduce you to our team of Master Crafters – trainers from Canada, Australia, the UAE, the USA and the UK!
These trainers provide a variety of drills from their own archives to BootCraft each month, so that ‘Crafters (that’s what we call our BootCraft subscribers) can keep abreast of what is happening around the world – and isn’t that so important now, more than ever! It also means that no matter what style of session delivery you find yourself having to adapt to, we have drills in BootCraft to suit – from online/virtual, to physically distanced face to face sessions and to ‘regular’ face to face sessions.
The first four will be:
- It’s a Mystery
- 6 x 6 x 6
- You Say It’s Your Birthday
- Basics 50s
Plus 8 more exciting drills, yet to be decided on.
3. Workout Of The Week
WOW – these are one of the new features to BootCraft, and we’ve had really great feedback on them.
Kyle posts these weekly ‘done-for-you’ workouts into the BootCraft Community (the private, online space where our ‘Crafters hang out) and are perfect for when you need a high-quality session on the fly. Kyle explains the workouts for our ‘Crafters in a video, and goes into detail about why particular drills were chosen, how to adapt and what the drill can look like in real life.
And with 12 WOWs completed, we have been able to compile these into a ‘done-for-you’ four week workout plan – that’s three workouts per week – called ‘Run, Forrest, Run‘.
This workout plan is one of four currently available to BootCraft subscribers. These plans are constantly being added to and more will become available over time.

4. The BootCraft Community
Alright, so I’ve mentioned the BootCraft Community a bit now. But what exactly is it?
Well, for me (as a sole-trading, small business Personal Trainer), it’s a bit like working in a big gym where I get to collaborate with the most amazing group of like-minded trainers. It’s a private, online community available to all our ‘Crafters – a place where we can share our favourite workout ideas (Niki shared a great chipper workout, we’ve had some more Olympic themed workouts and Amanda shared a great virtual workout). We’ve been helping Chris with tech, Niki with social media, Beverly with plyometric locomotion exercises and sharing fitness challenge ideas. We’ve also been helping Kyle come up with a name for his new podcast.
We think the BootCraft Community are pretty amazing – their generous sharing of ideas and advice adds so much value to what is already a comprehensive resource.
So before I leave you, I’d just really quickly like to give you the link to have a look at the BootCraft information page – to see more for yourself, or to share it with another trainer who you think might like to have a look.
That’s it for this month. Like I said at the start, I hope things are going well for you and your sessions!
