This month on BootCraft we’re welcoming two new features:
1. Workout Plans
Workout Plans are something we were building away at during July. We hope this new feature to BootCraft helps trainers with two things:
- To provide you with another way to help plan your own sessions as each workout is ‘done-for-you’ and ready to go and,
- To demonstrate to new trainers how the different drills on BootCraft can be used together to create a complete workout.
A bit of a bonus is that it also shows trainers how using a variety of workout types (HIT, Strength, Boxing, etc.) throughout a period of time can help make sure that you are using a wide range of drills.
At this stage just one Workout Plan is live for BootCraft subscribers to check out and play around with. We’ll be adding two more these months.
Here’s a picture of what a Workout Plan looks like:
This plan is 4 weeks long, with 3 sessions per week and 45 minute long sessions.
Each rectangle is a button that links to a description of the drill. Green buttons are warm ups, blue are main drills and black are finishers.
2. New Community
Over the past (almost) 4 years, BootCraft has become what I hope is one of the best resources out there for group fitness trainers. Back when it started we had just 200 founding members and only 33 drills. Now it’s grown to just shy of 700 drills and 850 wonderful members.
With a bigger community on here it’s become apparent that only being able to talk and communicate with each other in the comments section is not enough. There needs to be a place where you can share your own ideas, get feedback on them, swap workout plans with each other, ask business questions and encourage each other.
This will differ from our Facebook community by being more private and more in-depth. I’ll also be running special challenges with prizes inside of the BootCraft community.
As an added bonus, it’s going to make BootCraft feel more alive so, for example, when you’re sitting up at night planning your workouts you’ll know you’re not alone and you’ll be able to get help in real time if your brain runs out of energy.
This feature will go live before the end of the month.
