This workout is an entry to this year’s Bootcamp Ideas Competition. It has been submitted by Jeannie White from Texas, USA.
Tabata Total Body Warm Up
Drill Length: 5 minutes
Drill Category: Warm Up
How it works:
Tabata is 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest normally for 8 rounds but we do this for 10 rounds thus the 5 minute length.
Do the following exercises for the 20 seconds of work and then you have 10 seconds to get in position for the next exercise. Move, move, move. That 10 seconds goes fast. You could have everybody do the same exercise at the same time or have it set up as a circuit depending on your space and equipment.
- Jumping Jacks
- Jump Rope
- Push Ups
- Bodyweight Rows
- Speed Squats
- Around the World Lunges
- Sumo Jacks (jacks but in a sumo squat position)
- Drunken Mountain Climbers (knee to opposite elbow)
- Knees and Toes
- Burpees (no pushup)
About Jeannie:
I’ve been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor since 2010 and a Snap Fitness franchise owner in Huntsville, Texas. Tabata is one of my favorite things to do!
Kyle Wood created Bootcamp Ideas in 2010 when he was hunting around on the internet for workout ideas. He ran a successful bootcamp in Victoria, Australia and spends his spare time managing this site, adventuring (or lazying) with his wife and find new ways to make bootcamps even better.
