This workout is an entry to this year’s Bootcamp Ideas Competition. It has been submitted by Janice Ainsworth from Brantford, Ontario, Canada.
Place Your Bets
Drill Length: 10 minutes
Drill Category: Warm Up
Equipment needed: One coin
How it works:
Group sets up in a large circle.
Tell your group HEADS = squat and sweep; TAILS= modified scissors; HEADS AND TAILS = modified jacks
Trainer will flip the coin twice BUT before the coin flip, each person must place their bet.
They are betting if the coin will land Heads up twice, Tails up twice or Heads once/Tails once. Their bet is the warm up exercise.
Each person is performing their chosen exercise during the coin flips.
The trainer does not flip the coin until everyone has placed their bets.
If the bet they place matches the coin flips, they continue with the warm up exercise.
If the bet they place does not match the coin flips, they run once around the circle.
Repeat for as many rounds/time you allow for warm up.
You can replace my warm up exercises with your own. You can also change the exercises part way through the warm up.
