Welcome to the second month of the year (already!).
This month I want to share with you the new drills I added to BootCraft during January and what to expect for February.
Let’s dive in:
January Magic
First up, let’s take a look back at January. Over the 5 Sunday’s of January I added 11 drills. These were kindly sent in by alumni BootCraft Featured Designers and created a nice taste of the drills they had enjoyed creating during 2022.
Here they all are:
- 12 Round Boxing Workout
- Timed Pyramid Workout
- 15 Laps
- Strength Superset with Run
- The Eliminator
- Heads Up
- EMOM Frenzy
- 3 Exercises 2 Formats
- Name That Tune
- Quick Card Colours
- Timer Supersets
Thanks to Kari, Kjell, Lori, Karen, Lauren and Stephanie for sharing these with us.
February Future Drills

This month I’m very excited to announce our Featured Designer, Laura Viola. Laura hails from the same state as me (Victoria, Australia) where she’s run her fitness business for over a decade after 15 years working as a psychologist.
Here are the 12 drills she’ll be sharing with us:
- Burpee Blitz
- Boxing Travelator
- Work That Core
- Go The Distance
- Strength Supersets
- Six-Sided Suicides
- 100 Rep Puzzle
- Cardio Killer
- Awesome AMRAP
- Boxing 4-5-6
- Leg Day EMOM
- Reach Your Target
Keep an eye out each Sunday for when these will appear on BootCraft.
Drills To Inspire: Bands & Bodyweight
This month you’ll notice that a lot of the new drills involve a lot of equipment. Which is great because it opens the door to so many new exercises and some easy ways to increase or decrease the intensity of an exercise (by merely increasing or decreasing the weight).
But not all of us have access to lots of equipment, or it’s not practical to use lots of equipment every session so I also want to share some workout ideas that just use exercise bands and bodyweight. Here they are:
- Band Butt Core
- Sprinting to 50
- Band Burnout
- The Fastest Group of Them All
- 20×5
I’ve also shared an entire 4-week workout plan that just uses exercise bands and bodyweight too. You can get access to all of this when you become a member of BootCraft.
Trending on the Community
This month on the Facebook group we had some great conversations and collaborations:
- Alli has started a post on birthday workouts which has gotten some great ideas.
- Alison is gathering together some Valentine’s Day workout ideas.
- Clare would love to hear from trainers with experience in running a class that’s both face-to-face and on Zoom.
- Daphne is returning to running her bootcamp and would love some ideas for her first session back.
And that covers all of the updates for February 2022. If you’ve got any questions or would like to add anything, leave a comment below.
If you’re interested, you can find out more about BootCraft here.
Enjoy!

Kyle Wood created Bootcamp Ideas in 2010 when he was hunting around on the internet for workout ideas. He ran a successful bootcamp in Victoria, Australia and spends his spare time managing this site, adventuring (or lazying) with his wife and find new ways to make bootcamps even better.
