A plyometric push up is a power version of a traditional strength exercise. It is completed like a normal push up, however during the eccentric portion of the motion you want to use enough speed to allow you to lift your hands momentarily off the ground.
The clapping push up take this a step further. While your hands are off the ground, attempt to clap your hands together.
