This drill is a fantastic example of how not every workout you run needs to be fancy. Quite often, the basics plus an element of partner work will make for a session that will get your clients sweating and working hard.
This session was designed by the talented Lyndon Fernandes who operates One More Rep in Dubai. It was part of a collection of drills Lyndon shared on BootCraft earlier in the year when he was featured.
It Gets Harder For Both of Us
Time needed: 37 minutes
Group size: at least 2
Type: Strength, Partner
Equipment needed: None
This is a Partner workout. Boot campers pair up with those of similar fitness levels. One partner works at a time ie. partner A completes reps before partner B can start.
There are 5 stations. Set the timer for 5 minutes per station. There’s a 3 minute rest between stations so you need to make sure they’re working hard.
The Workout is an ascending AMRAP: 2-2, 4-4, 6-6……
Partner A does 2 reps, then Partner B does 2 reps.
Partner A does 4 reps, then Partner B does 4 reps, so on.
Pairs aim to complete as many reps as they can in the 5 minutes.
Stations
Use these exercises for your stations or pick your own:
- Burpees
- Jump Squats
- Push Ups
- Lunges
- Side Plank Hip Drop
While we’re talking about drills from BootCraft, this week is the last week to sign up for BootCraft before the price goes up.
This drill, It Gets Harder For Both of Us, has been a favourite on BootCraft this year and is an example of the great selection of drills we’ve curated for BootCraft. Take a moment to see if BootCraft can help you plan high-quality workouts.
