This workout is an entry to this year’s Bootcamp Ideas Competition. It has been submitted by Bec Callaghan from NSW, Australia.
Dice Death
Drill Length: 6 – 10 minutes depending on choice of rolls
Drill Category: Warm Up
Equipment needed: Dice, Cones
How it works:
Have three cones labelled 1/4, 2/5 and 3/6 and an exercise on them (or written on a whiteboard – for example 1/4 – shuttle runs, 2/5 – star jumps, 3/6 squats). Each person gets a dice.
Round 1:
Players roll the dice and complete 10 reps of the corresponding number. Eg. Roll a 2 and complete 10 x Star Jumps. Players than come back to their dice and roll it three more times. They add up these rolls and complete that many Push Ups.
Round 2 to 10:
The same as round 1 except players knock 1 rep of the cone exercise off each round but still roll 3 times for the push ups.
** Beginners only roll the dice once
** Intermediate roll the dice twice
About Bec:
I have two beautiful children, Cooper (8) and Chelsea (6). I live in Mudgee, NSW, Australia. It’s a country town and a few years ago I decided to leave my career of 13 years in the Police and follow my dream. My husband is allergic to exercise but loves sports and games… I decided to create something that he would love and so For Fitness Sake was born! It’s different and I don’t have to compete with the local gyms and trainers because there’s no one else doing what I do!
Kyle Wood created Bootcamp Ideas in 2010 when he was hunting around on the internet for workout ideas. He ran a successful bootcamp in Victoria, Australia and spends his spare time managing this site, adventuring (or lazying) with his wife and find new ways to make bootcamps even better.
