This drill is an entry to our 2020 Bootcamp Ideas Workout Competition. It was sent in by Willem Harder.
Color the Squares
Drill Length: 2x 8-10min.
Players: 1-2 players or 2-4 teams (2-5 players in one team)
Equipment: 2 dices or more, 6 cones, 1 gameboard and give each team a different colorpencil
Aim: The team with the most squares colored at the end of the time wins.
Set up: Put out the cones numbered 1 – 6 at about 10 meters, make a dice area and place the gamesheet.
At the start one team member rolls one dice for the exercise and one dice to multiply.
For example: first = 5, second = 6
Now the team runs to cone 5, do exercise 5, and run back to mark one side of a square with number 30 (5×6= 30). When a team covers the fourth side of a square they can fill that square in with their own color (this means 1 square for that team).
After that another member rolls again.
All teams start together.
Exercises:
1 = 20 Jumping Jacks
2 =10 Squats
3 =10 Walk Outs
4 =20 Mountain Climbers
5 =10 Plank Up Downs
6 =10 Burpees
For the second 8-10 min. You can change exercises. But keep on playing on the same gamesheet.
You also can play the game individual: set a timer and see how many squares you can color in that time.
Have fun.
