With your head down planning sessions, running sessions and running your business, taking the time to celebrate the big (and small) milestones in your business can get forgotten.
Today I’d like to remind you to take the time to celebrate and enjoy these moments. It’s a great way to remember that what you’re doing is important and meaningful.
Here are some business milestones you can celebrate:
- The yearly anniversary of your business
- The 100’s of sessions you’ve run (100 sessions, 200, 300,… 1000!)
- Change or upgrade of location/facilities
- Getting your first 10 regular clients
- The first time you made $100 in a day from your fitness business (and the same for $1,000, $10,000 and higher)
- The launch of a new class
- The end of a class or session time (go out with a celebration)
- Keeping a certain number of clients through out the winter
- Filling a class to maximum capacity
You can celebrate your client’s milestones too. Here are some ideas:
- A special birthday workout
- Recognising the 100’s of sessions they’ve done with you
- Not missing a session for a month
Next month I’ll be celebrating a milestone for Bootcamp Ideas. Our workout database, BootCraft, is turning 4!
The story of BootCraft
When I created BootCraft, I had recently returned to training groups and was getting frustrated with how much time I was spending looking back through my old workouts or on Facebook. I wondered if there was a way that I could put them all on a website and filter them by type or what equipment I needed.
By having all my ideas in one place I could keep adding new ideas to the database over time as I needed to.
After some tinkering, BootCraft was born with just 33 ideas. I opened the doors and got busy adding my back catalogue of ideas.
200 wonderful trainers signed up as Founders to use BootCraft and join me on the journey.
I dove deep into the depths of my old Word documents and found warm ups and drills I’d forgotten about and never shared before. Once I’d uploaded all of them to BootCraft I started asking other trainers who I trusted if they would share their workouts with us too. They did and now over 30 trainers from all over the world have ideas on BootCraft.
(Off the top of my head we’ve got ideas from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South Africa and the UK.)
There are hundreds of ideas on this website, Bootcamp Ideas, that are lost too thanks to the nature of a blog so we went through and added all of them to BootCraft too so they could be found once more.
Now there are over 700 drills and workout ideas on BootCraft which continues to grow every 12 out of 13 weeks. All are categorised and easy to find and search through.
Over the past 4 years over 3,000 trainers have used BootCraft to help plan their sessions. In the last 6 months we had trainers from 47 countries use the site (that’s like, 1/4 of all the countries in the world).

To celebrate these many awesome milestones I’m throwing a special month on BootCraft which will include:
- Weekly giveaways and prizes
- One amazing surprise Featured Designer sharing new ideas each week
- One sweet new feature (which was announced on BootCraft today)
- And more!
This will only be for current BootCraft subscribers (I like to call them ‘Crafters’) so if you’re not a member already, come join us for the month of November. It’s going to be fantastic!
One last thing, at the end of November BootCraft will be getting it’s first ever price increase too.
The price is going up for 2 reasons: 1) the value of BootCraft has increased 100-fold since it was launched and 2) a higher price means we can build up our team to create a better service.
Anyone who is already a member or who is signed up by November 30th, 2019 will stay on the current pricing for life, so once again, join us this month and start having fun planning your sessions.
Kyle Wood created Bootcamp Ideas in 2010 when he was hunting around on the internet for workout ideas. He ran a successful bootcamp in Victoria, Australia and spends his spare time managing this site, adventuring (or lazying) with his wife and find new ways to make bootcamps even better.
