Welcome back to the 6th Annual Bootcamp Ideas Workout Competition.
The results are in! I’ve picked the Grand Pize and Runners Up and run the random picker to draw the giveaways.
I’ll write it again later, but thank you so much to those that entered and everyone who took the time to try the drills and then vote. Everyone getting involved is really what makes running this competition fun.
We had a huge variety of drills entered this year. We had virtual drills, board game adaptations, warm ups, finishers, interval sessions, KISS drills and more complicated workouts. It was really challenging to pick a winner with such variety.
As I said, the winners have been picked, but before I share them, here’s a quick reminder of what prizes were up for grabs:
The Prizes

A big thanks again to Dale Sidebottom for donating two 12 month memberships to his brand new Fitness Games Zone – an online database of over 500 fitness game PDFs.

The 50 th card is the special rainbow magic card which can be completed as the last card in the deck or however you choose to use the missions.
The Winners
Grand Prize Winner
This prize is awarded to the designer of the drill we feel is overall the best minimal equipment workout idea.
We used a combination of the community voting results plus what we feel is a unique, engaging workout ideas.
This year’s winner is…
by Ng Kai Zheng of FuelFit
Given the global pandemic and the fact most group fitness sessions have had to move online, I really admired Kai’s approach to creating a workout that still gave people a sense that they were exercising with someone else. Congratulations!
Kai has won a year of BootCraft and Fitness Game Zone plus a 1 hour coaching call with myself.
Runner Ups
The 2 Runners Up game were crowd favourites and strong contenders for the Grand Prize. Here they are:
1.
by Hayley Warner of Believe In Health And Fitness
Boxing workouts have been sorely missed with social distancing in effect. Hayley’s workout makes for a great boxing session either online or face to face with social distancing.
2.
by Elka Hanglin
This drill was most voted by you! It uses a combo of strength and high intensity movements to give campers a well rounded workout. Simple, yet effective.
Elka and Hayley have each won 6 months of BootCraft to help them continue to create awesome sessions.
Random Draws:
It takes guts to put your work out there for others to see and judge which is exactly what those who entered the competition did.
So in order to give everyone who enters a chance to win, a few years ago I started offering a random draw. These winners were picked using the Random Thing Picker.
The winners are:
- Adders and Ladders by Jules Brooks of Fitness50
- No Excuse Vacation Bootcamp Workout by Pam Connolly of Healthy Opportunities
- Text Me A Workout by Jess Voyer of Jessica Voyer Fitness
They’ll get to choose one prize from a prize pool of:
- Strategize and Launch your Blog / Social Media in 3 Days (live group course + 1:1 coach session) with Stephanie Huston,
- A set of Daily Mission Cards,
- or 6 months of PTminder.
Special Mentions
Some drills, while not necessarily winners of prizes, still brought something special to the table so I’d like to recognise them here.
- Best Use of a Board Game: Boggle Bootcamp by Nicola Chapman
- Trainer’s Choice (the highest voted drill/workout): What Goes Up, Must Come Down by Elka Hanglin
- Brings on the Giggles: Virtual Buddy System by Ng Kai Zheng

Everyone who entered and didn’t win a prize, still gets 6 weeks free of BootCraft just for entering.
If you’ve already got an account I’ll simply extend your next renewal date, if you don’t have an account I’ll help you get set up.
What is BootCraft? Check it out.
Winners and entrants will hear from me over the coming week (it takes me a little while to email everyone and set up their prizes, just know I’m getting to you!).
