It’s easy to get stuck in the thought that you’re playing a zero-sum game.
That there is only so many clients out there, so if your competitor up the road gets a new client, that’s one less client for you.
Or worse, that you can only get new clients by trying to poach them from nearby businesses.
But what about Cathy, who hasn’t trained in 15 years but has just signed up with you because her cousin in the next state over was telling her how much she loved her fitness class? Or Tom, who recently joined his wife, a long time member of yours, at your classes now that the kids are more independent?
The reality is that the more people out there exercising, the more people who are just starting out exercising too. The more fitness options out there means a wider variety of people starting their fitness journey.
Trust that as the fitness tide comes in, all ships will rise.
