Aaahh – February 14th, AKA Valentine’s Day.
Whether you subscribe to the sentimentality of the day or not, encouraging your campers to bring a partner to a session or two (life partner, friend, neighbour, sister… let’s not get fussy here!) will do wonders for your numbers and add some extra joie de vivre to the atmosphere of your bootcamp!

Here is a workout that was especially written for the day of love.
And below you’ll find 11 others that will work really well as fun, challenging workouts for your partners (modify as needed for Physical Distancing).
1. Be Mine?
Designer: Bettina Jung
Drill Length: 45 minutes
Equipment: Cones, Dumbbells, Skipping Ropes, Station Cards
Environment: Indoor or Outdoor
Summary: This is an AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) that will leave partners feeling the love as they read the little notes at each station.
And here are some other partner-based exercises that could work really well for a Valentine’s Day inspired session.
2. Escalating Partner Drills
Designer: Jamie Harvey
Drill Length: 60 minutes
Equipment: Medballs (4-8 kg), Cones, Agility Ladders
Environment: Large Sports Court or Oval
Summary: This is a cardio endurance drill where partners work through six stations that involve one travelling and one stationary exercise per station.
3. EMOM Partner Ladder Drills
Designer: Kyle Wood
Drill Length: 15 minutes
Equipment: Cones, Mats
Environment: Large Sports Court or Oval
Summary: This is an EMOM (Every Minute On the Minute) where partners are working at either end of a 20m space, doing Squat Jumps and Push Ups. The catch? One decreases in reps as the other increases!
4. I Choose You Partner Workout
Designer: Jono Sergeant
Drill Length: 60 minutes
Equipment: Cones, Mats, Dumbbells
Environment: Large Sports Court or Oval
Summary: This is a competitive partner workout that will have your pairs working hard – or they will face the burpee penalty!
5. Partner Strength Workout
Designer: Ben Callaghan
Drill Length: 45 minutes
Equipment: Mats, Dumbbells, Kettlebells, Weight Plates
Environment: Large Sports Court or Oval
Summary: This workout features a series of complexes for partners to complete – but can they do it without dropping their weight?!
6. Press Up Chase (Finisher)
Designer: Maree Lloyd
Drill Length: 10 minutes
Equipment: Cones
Environment: Large Sports Court or Oval
Summary: This is a finisher that will have partners trying to outdo each other in press ups (push ups)!
7. Battle Of The Bodyweight Basics
Designer: Nancy Krueger
Drill Length: 45 minutes
Equipment: Cones
Environment: Indoor or Outdoor
Summary: This is an AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) that will challenge all clients – the reward for doing more rounds is more Burpees!
8. The Horseshoe Partner Workout
Designer: Rob Gaskell
Drill Length: 30 minutes
Equipment: Cones, Medicine Balls, Mats, Skipping Ropes
Environment: Large Sports Court or Oval
Summary: This is an accumulator workout where pairs get to add an exercise each round – which pair will be first to finish?
9. It Gets Harder For Both Of Us
Designer: Lyndon Fernandes
Drill Length: 35-40 minutes
Equipment: Mats
Environment: Indoor or Outdoor
Summary: This is a series of 5 minute AMRAPs (As Many Rounds As Possible) that will allow your fitter pairs to really push each other.
10. Freeze Frenzy Fun (Warm Up)
Designer: April Wright
Drill Length: 5-10 minutes
Equipment: Mats, Cones
Environment: Indoor or Outdoor
Summary: This partner warm up has a really fun ‘statues’ twist!
11. Virtual Buddy System
Designer: Ng Kai Zheng
Drill Length: 30 minutes
Equipment: Zoom, Mats
Environment: Via Zoom
Summary: This virtual partner workout will have pairs working hard online.
12. Shooting Blind (Warm Up)
Designer: Jamie Nielsen
Drill Length: 10 minutes
Equipment: Tennis Balls, Cones
Environment: Large Sports Court or Oval
Summary: This is a fun warm up game that will test partners hand-eye coordination and communication.
